City Jackets For Sophisticated Country Girls

This post is so special to me. In particular for 2 reasons:

  1. It is about a very famous Spanish brand, awarded by the queen of Spain– this gives you an idea of the quality of their jackets. When it comes to clothes, I always collaborate with Brittish, Austrian, Swedish, French and German Brands, and being Spanish, it was about time that I showcased a Spanish clothing brand. Believe me, there are more Spanish brands apart from Zara, Mango, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Oysho and Pull and Bear :)

  1. These jackets, apart from being stunning, are made for people like you and I, who spend as much time in the city as in the ocuntryside, so it is difficult to find something that suits both, especially when you have, parties, dinners and events to attend– or at least before Covid.

I would like to introduce you to The Extreme Collection, one of my absolute favourite brands, worn by as many traditional women as modern influencers like Chiara Ferragni.

I was honored to speak to Jorge, their founder, and Maria, their marketing manager, to find out what sets them apart from other brands around the world, so this is their story:

  1. When and why was The Extreme Collection dounded?

It all started 30 years ago because there were no brands in the market which could offer an exclusive product at an affordable price. The idea evolved from sustainability too.

2. How do you set yourselves apart from similar brands in the market?

We don't really like to compare ourselves with anybody else. Our company is a family business that is born from the experience of our parents who were tailors. We have always showcased our very own style and through this, our clients have been able to see the difference, they are the ones who identify what makes us unique, we make that easy by being and conveying the message of who we really are in each piece we design.

3. Have you ever been awarded and if so, what does that mean to you?

We recently were awarded by HM the Queen of Spain. We received the National Fashion Award but for us the real prize is the trust of our clients.

4. Can you tell us what celebrities around the world are clients of The Extreme Collection?

We have been here for 30 years, so the list would never really end, but just to name a few: Anastacia, Chiara Ferragni, Elsa Pataki, Paula Echevarría, and so on and so forth... but there is a list of people that we will be eternally grateful for, and they know who they are. We are particularly proud of our clients too, they are the real celebrities in our opinnion.

5. Where do you sell internationally?

In the US, Mexico and Canada, for instance last year we opened up a store in LA together with our distributor there. The US together with Europe are our biggest markets, but our collections are also distributed throughout stores in Japan, Kuwait, Argentina,Egypt...

6. What influencers do you work with and what do you like about them?

They are another way of communicating. They are able to reach out to people in a way that traditional channels can't. They are part of our strategy and we always look for people who understand and share the way we see fashion.

7. Where do you see The Extreme Collection in 5 years from now?

For us the goal is not the most important thing, for us the journey is what counts. We don't like to plan so far in advance. We work collection after colelction, so we only plan for our next colelction. The most important thing is being honest with our clients, and that each new colelction is more spectacular than the most recent one, with better quality and even more exclusive! If you do a good job, then you will always meet your targets.
